Some programs will skew toward quick service, others to casual dining. Submissions may be from both Commercial and Non-Commercial segments of the industry.

- Identifiably healthy ingredient base
- Can feature product introduction that incorporates a single item or series of items that are healthful
- Effective customer education and/or promotion of healthful menu choices and/or healthful lifestyle oriented promotions as a tie-in
